Annoncé en mars dernier, le nouveau projet d’adaptation pour la chaîne câblée américaine FX se précise. Coproduit par FX Productions et MGM Television, le script du pilote sera écrit par Noah Hawley (Bones, The Unusuals). Les Frères Coen, qui n’étaient jusqu’ici pas impliqués dans le développement, rejoignent le projet en tant que producteurs exécutifs. 

The untitled project is a New York-based thriller chronicling a murder and cover up. Instead of a standard pitch, Belber wrote a detailed treatment, which was sent to cable networks. Several were interested, with the project ultimately going to FX.

FX has put in development Downtown Dragons, a martial arts drama written and executive produced by S. Craig Zahler. Set in the underworld of New York’s modern day Chinatown, the story focuses on rival gangsters who must rely upon traditional fighting techniques to maintain their territories after the triad bosses ban all firearms in the area following a bloody shootout.
